Invision UK Announces Integration of iTunes with RTI’s Control Systems

Suffolk, UK, 24th November 2010 Invision UK, a leading trade-only distributor of integrated AV solutions for residential, commercial and marine applications has announced details of a new driver for iTunesÒ integration with RTI’s two-way-enabled handheld and in-wall controllers.

For two-way communication with Signal software, RTI has partnered with AlloySoft to develop the driver, which provides a slick interface that allows users to control iTunesÒ, Windows® Media Player®, and Winamp® and to receive feedback including playlists, album art, "now playing" info, and more. The interface is programmed using RTI's Integration DesignerÒ software for a completely customisable experience.

"Consumers today want to be able to stream their media through distributed audio systems and be able to conveniently control it in a variety of ways. To meet this need, we are very excited to partner with AlloySoft in giving users a sleek interface to access iTunes, Internet radio, and audio streaming, right from their RTI controllers. And we are working hard to develop even more drivers for integration with best-in-class solutions through our Integration Partner program," said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI.

In a separate announcement, RTI has also confirmed they will be bringing the power of their control solutions to the iPhoneÒ, iPodÒ Touch, and iPadÒ with their new RTiPanel app, which will be unveiled in the new year at ISE 2011. With the app installed on any of these popular Apple® products, users will have complete control of their music from anywhere in the home and beyond.
