    NetStreams Release EIB/KNX Driver for DigiLinx Multi-Room Audio, Video and Control System

    NetStreams®, the world leader in digital entertainment networks based on Internet Protocol (IP) technology, announces the release of an EIB/KNX driver for the DigiLinX Multi-Room Audio, Video and Control System.


    EIB/KNX is now the world’s leading open protocol for commercial and residential installations. Working with DigiLinX, the new “Plug and Play” EIB/KNX driver means that installers now have the opportunity to quickly and easily incorporate EIB/KNX lighting control into DigiLinX installations.

    EIB/KNX lighting scenes can be custom named using the DigiLinX Dealer Set-Up Program software and then simply uploaded to the DigiLinX system. Using the NetStreams home automation interface – the ControLinX CL100 – the integrated driver will enable control of EIB/KNX lighting on either a TouchLinX™ touch screen, a wireless web tablet or PC instead of cluttering the walls with extra control keypads. Moreover, the homeowner has visual feedback of which lighting scene is selected.

    Control drivers for iLight, Rako, Mode, Lutron, Leax, Helvar and Futronix lighting systems are already available so the addition of EIB/KNX gives the DigiLinX dealer yet another optional level of integration. This driver will be extended to include control of EIB/KNX heating and cooling systems later this year.
