Invision UK to showcase Waterfall’s Hurricane Evo speakers at CEDIA
Waterfall Audio, whose products are exclusively distributed in the United Kingdom by Invision UK, will be showing its revamped line of Hurricane satellite speakers on the Invision UK stand at CEDIA Expo 2009.
After eight hugely successful years on the market, the Hurricane satellite speaker has evolved and many of its components have been completely redesigned for superior performance and functionality. Keeping in mind the exceptionally small size of its body and volume, the new Hurricane Evo satellite speaker now delivers an even more impressive acoustic performance, especially in the low frequencies, and its installation flexibility has also been enhanced. The improvements to the Hurricane are the result of meticulous market research in the UK custom installation sector.
The newly refurbished Hurricane Evo satellite speaker uses the very latest generation of Atohm drivers, so it is slightly more compact than the original Hurricane. Here is a brief summary of the key improvements:
· All parts, except for the glass, are now made of aluminium.
· The new Atohm LD100BND04 ‘Absolute Series’ has better bass response
· A new Atohm SD20 tweeter extends frequency response to 28 KHz
The Hurricane Evo uses patented Heatstream technology.
· Hurricane Evo can be used without a subwoofer for most multi room applications and some Hi-Fi applications (bass response is extended to 95Hz)
· Exceptional finish with its new, all aluminium parts.
· Choice of 3 aluminium body colours (black, white and silver)
· Each satellite has a magnetic grill that matches the body colour
· 2 optional grills in ‘fashion colours’ are available for purchase
· Magnetic grills make it easy to interchange colours
Enhanced installation and fixing flexibility with new fixing brackets. 2 different brackets are now included with each satellite.
