Invision UK confirms successful CEDIA HTE Home Technology Event was good business for distributor

Invision UK, the leading trade-only distributor of integrated AV solutions for residential, commercial and marine applications, has announced a successful CEDIA Home Technology Event (HTE) – with the company’s raft of new product launches creating a genuine buzz, and business reported to be brisk.

The plethora of new launches from Invision UK on stand B10, and RTI on B9, complemented the distributor’s more established products, which also featured at the London ExCeL event from 28-30 June. The RTI stand was said to be particularly busy, with the iPad App being “extremely well received”, according to Invision UK Sales Specialist Lance Escobar.

Following the recent announcement of the distribution agreement between Invision UK and Grandbeing, the two companies joined forces to showcase Grandbeing’s product line-up at HTE. Grandbeing’s HD BaseT technologies were, according to Invision UK, of particular interest to the trade. The same was true of Autonomic’s new MMS-2 Mirage Media server, which drew a lot of interest and was perceived by many as a “truly professional CI product”, according to Lance Escobar. Pakedge’s new WAP-W5N Wireless Access Point and companion CTL-W5N Wireless Virtualisation Management Controller was also a big draw, with many attendees particularly enthused by the benefits of the incorporated Virtual Cell Technology.

Furman’s range of mains conditioning and protection units also kept Invision UK’s team busy, with show visitors excited by the surge, spike and over-voltage protection, which increase product reliability and reduce the need for service calls. The wide range of home cinema products which now bolster Invision UK’s portfolio made a big impact also – which coincided with the unveiling of the distributor’s Custom Home Cinema Product Guide for 2011. This sat alongside the newly printed, full Product Guide for 2011 – also unveiled for the first time at HTE.

But the trade weren’t the only ones fascinated by Invision UK’s range of home cinema products. Hollywood superstar, all round nice guy and self-confessed geek, Simon Pegg, spent several minutes checking out the Mozaex Solo 2 3D all-in-one 12TB Blu-ray 3D Server! Perhaps Scotty needs to borrow the Intel i3 processor to get the Enterprise engine started – or, as is more likely, Simon is considering a seriously clever addition to his home theatre system...
