RTI innovations set to wow installers at CEDIA Latest CI products to be introduced at HTE by Invisio
Invision UK, the leading trade-only distributor of integrated AV solutions for residential, commercial and marine applications, will unveil a number of innovative new products from RTI on Stand B9 at CEDIA’s Home Technology Event (HTE) at London’s ExCeL between 28-30 June 2011. Please see below for details.
RTiPanel app
RTI’s new RTiPanel app brings the power of its control solutions to the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. With the app installed on any of these popular Apple® products, users will have complete control of their music from anywhere in the home and beyond.
AD-4 and AD-8 Distributed Audio Systems
For whole house Multi-Room audio, RTI will be demonstrating its four-zone AD-4 and new eight-zone AD-8 distributed audio matrix switchers. Acting as extensions to RTI’s control systems, the AD-4 and AD-8 offer low-cost and very effective solutions for distributing music in residential or marine installations.
RTiDock
RTI will debut its RTiDock, featuring rackmount or desktop options and a host of benefits not found on other iPod docks – such as the ability to sync with iTunes over the network through Virtual Sync technology. For simple, intuitive operation, the device offers a full on-screen GUI and video output for navigation through a video display device – and a sliding tray provides easy access and discreet storage of the iPod.
Two-Way Driver for KNX-compatible devices
Utilising any of RTI’s XP series of control processors, the KNX two-way software driver works together with the CTG-KNX/IP Gateway device to provide seamless integration of all functions and feedback of a KNX system on RTI’s two-way-enabled handheld and in-wall controllers. The driver utilises the Ethernet network as a communication link between KNX-compatible devices and any RTI XP series processor. Two-way comms provide a powerful control experience by allowing for visual feedback from compatible electronic devices such as HVAC, lighting, and motorised blinds, on RTI’s two-way enabled controllers.

“Consumer demand doesn’t stop at remote controls,” says Pete Baker. “There is a strong interest in having this same control experience on other devices, such as the iPhone, iPad, or a PC. We’ve listened to the market, and at this show, we will be demonstrating several solutions that give consumers complete access and control over their media from a variety of Apple devices, in addition to providing them with the cost-effective solutions to distribute this media throughout their homes. No matter how they enjoy their music, we’ve got consumers under control.”

“With Philips Pronto having exited the market last year, we have a large number of dealers who have switched to RTI,” explains Lance Escobar, RTI Sales Specialist at Invision UK. “We believe RTI is in a prime position to dominate the market, and with this new driver as well as other solutions, we can easily provide our customers with an exceptional control experience with complete integration of all systems and components.”
“KNX is a dominant control protocol in both the UK and mainland Europe, and the new KNX driver will be a very instrumental and powerful tool for our dealers,” adds Pete Baker. “And by utilising our Integration Designer programming software, installers will be delighted with the ease and efficiency with which they can integrate KNX- compatible devices with any of our XP series processors.”
