Invision UK to exhibit at Home Technology Event in association with CEDIA
Suffolk, UK, 17th May 2010 – Invision, the UK’s fastest growing distributor of integrated AV solutions for residential, commercial and marine applications, will be returning to London ExCeL this year to exhibit at the newly re-branded Home Technology Event 2010 in association with CEDIA (formerly know as CEDIA Expo).
Chris Dawson, product manager for residential CI at Invision UK, said: “We were initially reluctant to commit to the CEDIA show as we are planning our own Custom Install Showcase to take place at Ascot Racecourse in September. However, we simply have too many new solutions to miss this opportunity to meet the designers, installers, integrators and specifiers that operate in the UK custom installation industry. Visitors that want to see our new products and discuss how we can help grow their business can come and meet our technical sales team and manufacturer partners on stand D6A.”
Invision UK will be using the Home Technology Event 2010 to launch a number of new brands and product innovations, including:
1. NetStreams DigiLinX Control from Apple’s new iPad
This new iLinX app will facilitate complete one-touch control of the NetStreams DigiLinX system from Apple’s iPad.
- Available from Apple’s app store from July 2010.
- Supports all NetStreams DigiLinX Touch Screen functions and capabilities.
- Allows plug and play integration and control of A/V, lighting, HVAC, curtains, blinds, TV lifts and more using the iPad’s intuitive user interface.
- Brings full power of control to the user, including all two-way features and metadata from the convenience of a wireless touch screen.
- Easy set-up, fast and feature-rich - any updates or changes to the DigiLinX set up programme are automatically sent to the iPad when the iLinX app is launched.
2. ST-7 Universal Controller from RTI
Utilising ZigBee® RF technology, the ST-7 two-way-enabled controller is capable of two-way communication with a wide variety of electronic devices including thermostats, lighting control, security, audio/video distribution systems and media servers. It offers multiple docking options for wireless, in-wall, or tabletop configurations.
· 7-inch widescreen LCD display with an integrated multi-touch capacitive touch screen.
· Simplified navigation and Wi-Fi web browsing from a trackball.
· Customisable backlight colouring to indicate different functions.
· 13 configurable hard buttons provide intuitive control.
· Integrated microphone and stereo speakers to support intercom over IP.
3. UK launch of Mozaexä Blu-rayä entertainment servers
This multi-room media server allows instant playback of media stored on its server, including 1080p Blu-ray films, CD/MP3 music, photos and Internet content such as BBC iPlayer, YouTube and more. Users can instantly enjoy any show from any room, anytime. Mozaex eliminates the frustration and time spent organising and searching for movies, songs or photo albums. Any media can be played simultaneously in any room, and the system can be integrated with all leading third party control systems including RTI, NetStreams DigiLinX, Crestron, AMX, Control4 and Philips Pronto.
4. SolidDrive Invisible Speakers
SolidDrive’s patented transducer technology can turn almost any drywall, glass, wood, ceramic or laminate surface into a high-end loudspeaker for residential and marine applications.
· Heard but not seen - no visible grilles, wires or speaker cabinets.
· Custom-installed directly behind walls as a true in-wall/in-ceiling speaker.
· Ideal for multi-room audio and home cinema applications.
Patented technology utilises high-powered neodymium magnets and dual symmetrically opposed motors to convert audio signals into powerful vibrations that are transferred into solid surfaces by direct contact. High-quality, full-range, hidden sound is then radiated from the entire surface-with a frequency response of 60 Hz to 15 kHz.
5. New preconfigured audio/video bridging RSB network kit from Pakedge
Sophisticated residential IP networks require the same robustness as an enterprise network to ensure the packets that carry audio and video arrive in time, and that IP-based controls do not lose critical command packets.
This ‘out of the box’ RBS kit solution allows custom installers to quickly install and configure a powerful VLAN based enterprise network into any home. The Pakedge RBS Network Kit pre-configures the security appliance (router) and switch, dividing the network into 4 separate subnets (VLANS) to manage traffic, broadcast, and priority for all devices. The kit includes the RT-50V router/security application, the Pakedge SW8-GBV 8-port Gigabit VLAN switch and all rack-mount hardware required to install both products into an AV rack.
· Colour-coded ports for AV devices, controls and computers for simple fast installations.
· Integrated Pakedge quality-of-service (QoS) to ensure jitter-free audio video streaming.
· Stackable with additional Pakedge switches for the largest of systems.
· AV rack mountable - clean face and fan-less with cables from the back.
